Organized efforts lead to a camp exclusively for Yezidis in Greece – CYCI update

Will hopefully end the constant threats of extermination the Yezidi refugees inside the camps in Greece  had to keep up with in the last few weeks.

CYCI representatives to the Greek Government who have worked tirelessly for the last two weeks with the assistance of Anne Norona, has come to an agreement with the authorities for a new camp exclusively for the Yezidis.

We have agreed today with the Government and person in charge on the camp and it is a new camp. All Yazidis that CYCI assisted out of Lesvos island that didn’t enter Macedonia on time as well as all others that came on their own to Athens, Idomeni and Kavalla from today can come to this camp that we have negotiated with the authorities.

Fikret Bezek, our ground team manager has agreed with police and the army on the logistics of the transfer of Yazidis. This will be exclusive to Yazidis and some Christians if place permits God willing. I ask you all to pray all night to tomorrow so that things go as planned. We plan to move Yazidis stranded at Idomeni first as they are in the most dangerous situation. We have green light from the government, army and police. Buses are being organized. CYCI today visited the agreed location and took some pictures. The name of the camp will not be published so there is no chaos from other refugees wanting to go there as well.

Your prayers for CYCI and the blessings of God made this happen. This news God willing will change the lives of all 3500 Yazidis stranded and suffering in Greece. Will hopefully end the constant threats of extermination the Yezidi refugees inside the camps in Greece  had to keep up with in the last few weeks.
