Archieve 2014: Global spiritual and political leaders support the Yezidi cause
In a meeting with the treasurer and founder of Yezidis International , Gulie Khalaf , global Hindu spiritual leader His Holiness Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shanker and US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, the only Hindu in the US Congress, pledged their absolute support for the Yezidi cause. Gulie Khalaf whose family had escaped to US when she was 13 yrs old, narrated the extreme hardship and religious persecution that Yezidis encounter in Kurdistan. She pleaded to Sri Sri to help the Yezidis whose population she said dwindled from 21 million to less than 1 million due to repeated genocides and conversions. She urged Sri Sri and congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard to do everything in their capacity to save the community from extinction. Sri Sri listened patiently and promised to write to all world leaders and do everything in his capacity to save the Yezidis trapped in mount Shingal surrounded by ISIS on all sides, undergoing 74th genocide. The meeting was facilitated by Anil Sharma of Art of Living Foundation, Satya Narayan of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, Swadesh Katoch of Sewa International , Utsav Chakraborti of Viswa Hindu Parishad America and Vrindavan Brannon Parker. These organization also pledged their unflinching support for the cause of the persecuted Yezidis.

An artist and entrepreneur she is also the founder of Harekrishnamystic art that sells hand crafted jewelry, incense, perfume, art and puja items. Travelling widely she creates and sells her artwork throughout the globe. She is also a trained yoga instructor and a licensed yoga teacher.
